Description
CATAFLAM 50mg contains Diclofenac potassium 50mg. It is a non steroidal antiinflammatory drug with antipyretic properties(lowers fever).
Indications
It is used in the short treatment for the following acute conditions:
-Inflammation and swelling due to sprains,post operation .
-Gynaecological conditions e.g painful dysmenorrhea.
-Acute Migraine attacks
– Inflammation of the ENT e.g tonsillitis,otitis
– Rheumatoid arthritis
-Osteoarthritis
-Ankylosing spondylitis
Warnings
Cardiovascular risk:
-Diclofenac may worsen the heart condition .
Gastrointestinal risk:
-Diclofenac may worsen the condition for patients who have a history of peptic ulcers or stomach bleeding.
-Diclofenac can worsen asthmatic condition.
Dosage:
Take the drug as per the physician instructions.
Take after meal to reduce gastric irritation,with a glass of water.
