This pessary, also known as a “vaginal tablet,” contains Clotrimazole, which falls under the category of anti-fungal medications. It addresses infections caused by fungi and is particularly effective in treating thrush, also known as vaginal candidiasis. Thrush is a common condition triggered by yeast or fungus that may reside harmlessly in the vagina unnoticed. However, under certain circumstances, it can lead to a vaginal infection, with symptoms potentially extending to the surrounding area.
Typical symptoms of thrush include itching of the vagina and vulva, redness and swelling of vaginal tissues, soreness in the vaginal and vulva area, and a white, odorless discharge from the vagina. While sexual intercourse may exacerbate thrush, it is not classified as a sexually transmitted disease. However, in some cases, it can be transmitted to a sexual partner through intercourse. Partners with penile thrush may experience symptoms such as soreness and redness of the penis, tightness of the foreskin, and a white, odorless penile discharge.
Instructions for Use:
For women -15 years to 65 years, the pessary should be inserted into the vagina at night using the provided applicator.
Pregnant women should use clean and dry their hands thoroughly before manually inserting the pessary with their fingers.
