Description

Lysodren is an antitumoral medication used to treat advanced non-operable, metastatic, or recurrent malignant tumors of the adrenal glands. It is recommended to take Lysodren with fat-rich meals such as those containing milk, chocolate, or oil.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Lysodren can harm the fetus. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, inform your doctor. Use effective contraception during treatment and after stopping Lysodren. Do not breastfeed while taking Lysodren and after discontinuing it. Consult your doctor for advice.

Driving and Using Machines: Lysodren significantly affects your ability to drive and use machines. Seek advice from your doctor.

How to Use: Always follow your doctor’s instructions when taking Lysodren.

Dosage and Schedule: The typical starting dose for adults is 2 to 3 grams (4 to 6 tablets) per day, possibly increasing to 4 to 6 grams (8 to 12 tablets). Your doctor will monitor your blood levels to determine the optimal dose. The treatment may be temporarily stopped or the dose reduced if side effects occur.

Children and Adolescents: The initial daily dose for children is 1.5 to 3.5 grams per square meter of body surface, as calculated by your doctor. Experience with Lysodren in this age group is limited.

Method of Administration: Swallow the tablets with water during fat-rich meals. The daily dose can be divided into two or three intakes.

Storage Instructions: Keep Lysodren out of the reach and sight of children, store it in the original container, and do not use it after the expiration date. Dispose of any unused product or waste material according to local requirements for cytotoxic medicines. Do not dispose of wastewater or household waste. Consult your pharmacist on how to properly dispose of medicines no longer needed to help protect the environment.
